Native Animal & general sculptures

are cast in Hydrostone

the hardest of all the gypsums.

This medium allows for fine detail

& durability

for indoor, patio,

or sheltered placement.

Hydrostone is mixed with

water and stirred to a batter consistency.

I stand the Hydrostone mix

for about two minutes

then skim off the bubbles.

The mix is then gently poured

into the sculpture mould.

The mould is gently tapped

with a rubber hammer

so as to release any stubborn bubbles.

Allow the mix to set.

I prefer to leave it setting

for a least one hour.

The sculpture is now ready to be released

from the mould.
